قَالَ الرَّبُّ لِرَبِّي: إِجْلِسْ عَنْ يَمِينِي، حَتَّى أَجْعَلَ أَعْدَاءَكَ مَوْطِئًا لِقَدَمَيك/The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet

إنجيل القدّيس متّى22/من41حتى46/:”فِيمَا الفَرِّيسِيُّونَ مُجْتَمِعُونَ سَأَلَهُم يَسُوعُ قَائِلاً: «مَا رَأْيُكُم في المَسيح: إِبْنُ مَنْ هُوَ؟». قَالُوا لَهُ: «إِبْنُ دَاوُد». قَالَ لَهُم: «إِذًا، كَيفَ يَدْعُوهُ دَاوُدُ بِالرُّوحِ رَبًّا، إِذْ يَقُول: قَالَ الرَّبُّ لِرَبِّي: إِجْلِسْ عَنْ يَمِينِي، حَتَّى أَجْعَلَ أَعْدَاءَكَ مَوْطِئًا لِقَدَمَيك؟ فَإِنْ كَانَ دَاوُدُ يَدْعُو المَسِيحَ رَبًّا، فَكَيفَ يَكُونُ المَسِيحُ لَهُ ٱبْنًا؟». فَلَمْ يَقْدِرْ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يُجِيبَهُ بِكَلِمَة. ومِنْ ذلِكَ اليَومِ مَا عَادَ أَحَدٌ يَجْرُؤُ أَنْ يَسْأَلَهُ عَنْ شَيء.”

لِتَكُنْ سِيرَتُكُم بَينَ الأُمَمِ حَسَنَة، حتَّى إِذَا ٱفتَرَوا عَلَيْكُم كَأَنَّكُم فَاعِلُو سُوء، يُلاحِظُونَ أَعمالَكُمُ الحَسَنَة، فيُمَجِّدُونَ اللهَ في يَوْمِ الٱفْتِقَاد
رسالة القدّيس بطرس الأولى02/من11حتى17/:”يا إخوَتِي، أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاء، أُنَاشِدُكُم، كَنُزَلاءَ ومُتَغَرِّبِين، أَنْ تَمْتَنِعُوا عنِ الشَّهَواتِ الجَسَدِيَّةِ الَّتي تُحَارِبُ النَّفْس. لِتَكُنْ سِيرَتُكُم بَينَ الأُمَمِ حَسَنَة، حتَّى إِذَا ٱفتَرَوا عَلَيْكُم كَأَنَّكُم فَاعِلُو سُوء، يُلاحِظُونَ أَعمالَكُمُ الحَسَنَة، فيُمَجِّدُونَ اللهَ في يَوْمِ الٱفْتِقَاد. إِخْضَعُوا، إِكرامًا للرَّبّ، لِكُلِّ نِظامٍ بَشَرِيّ: أَمَّا لِلمَلِكِ فَبِٱعْتِبَارِهِ السُّلْطَةَ العُلْيَا، وأَمَّا لِلوُلاةِ فبِٱعْتِبَارِهِم مُرْسَلِينَ مِنْ قِبَلِهِ لِلانْتِقَامِ مِنْ فَاعِلِي الشَّرّ، والثَّنَاءِ عَلى فَاعِلِي الخَير. فَإِنَّ مَشِيئَةَ اللهِ هِيَ أَنْ تَكُونُوا فَاعِلِي خَير، لِتُفْحِمُوا جَهَالَةَ النَّاسِ الأَغْبِيَاء! تصَرَّفُوا كأُنَاسٍ أَحْرَار، لا كَمَنْ يَجْعَلُونَ الحُرِّيَّةَ سِتَارًا لارْتِكَابِ الشَّرّ، بَلْ كَعَبِيدٍ لله. أَكْرِمُوا الجَمِيع، أَحِبُّوا الإِخْوَة، إِتَّقُوا الله، أَكْرِمُوا الْمَلِك.”

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 22/41-46:”While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them this question:‘What do you think of the Messiah? Whose son is he?’ They said to him, ‘The son of David.’He said to them, ‘How is it then that David by the Spirit calls him Lord, saying, “The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet’ “? If David thus calls him Lord, how can he be his son?’No one was able to give him an answer, nor from that day did anyone dare to ask him any more questions.”

For the Lord’s sake accept the authority of every human institution, whether of the emperor as supreme, or of governors, as sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right. For it is God’s will that by doing right you should silence the ignorance of the foolish. As servants of God, live as free people, yet do not use your freedom as a pretext for evil. Honour everyone. Love the family of believers. Fear God. Honour the emperor.”
